Our Story
Kauri Lights began on the sun-drenched coasts of Spain, where Annika first discovered her passion for combining natural materials with light. She spent years learning and perfecting the art of chainsaw carving, developing techniques that would later define her unique style.
When the shores of Costa Rica called, Annika answered. The tropical hardwoods washed up on the Pacific beaches, the vibrant energy of the Southern Zone, and the deep connection to nature she found here transformed her craft. Each piece of driftwood she collects tells its own story of ocean journeys and natural beauty.
Today, over 1,200 Kauri Lights illuminate homes, restaurants, and boutique hotels around the world. Each lamp is a collaboration between artist and nature, combining hand-carved driftwood with carefully selected healing crystals to create pieces that are truly one of a kind.

Her hands transform raw driftwood into vessels of light, and her eye for crystals ensures each piece carries its own unique energy.
